What you'll get

These are all the chords you'll need to harmonize any major or minor scale with basic chords or 7 chords.
Here's what's different about these chord charts
In all of the chord charts I indicate what interval each note is. This is very important because if you want to vary the chord or leave a note out you, have to know what the notes are.
I cover this in great detail in my "Chord Tricks" book. For example: You can easily play a 7 chord without a root, without a 5th or as a two note chord (technically there's no such thing as two note chord - but in some of my books I will use that term, for reasons I explain). You need to get my "Chord Tricks" book to get the rundown on how to do this with many examples.
Or, you can easily play a 5 chord if you like (a 5 chord contains just the root and the 5th), or an omit 5 chord (which contains just root and the 3rd).
Why do most other chord charts not indicate intervals? Don't know - wish they did - but that creates the need for more comprehensive chord charts like I present here, and books like my "Chord Tricks" book that is a comprehensive method on how to alter or simplify chords. I have a E chord* in there that will blow your mind - as well as many other super useful tricks.

I will also have a more comprehensive chord book available soon as well, that will indicate options for alternations in other more advanced chords. For example: What notes do you leave out of 11 chords**, which notes are "either or" or optional etc... (it varies depending on the 11th chord, major, minor dominant etc... - many 11th chords you will find in other books or on the internet are not optimal or just plain unusable). What notes do we (or can we) use in 13th chords for the ukulele etc... there's lot's of mis-information about this currently.
Other chord books will, soon become useless to the advanced player or the player that would like to alter the chord.
Also, you should download my "Scales Harmonized with Chords" charts where all major and minor scales (in all keys) are harmonized with basic chords and 7 chords!
Harmonized scales are a "must know" for every player - they're where chord progressions come from.
Songwriters must know how to harmonize scales with chords, and it's all here laid out in easy to use and understand charts.
